PT Drum Corps Summer Session ’22
Interested in joining a drum corps summer camp this summer? PT Drum Corps is hosting a summer workshop for middle school and high school percussionists who have already completed at least a school year at reading sheet music. The focus of this workshop is to strengthen the percussionist’s skills and techniques in playing marching percussion instruments.
We cover all parts of our curriculum on a variety of instruments based on their current skill levels. Bass drum, snare, tenors and cymbals will be the core instruments used. Depending on abilities, music presented will be based on middle school and high school level drum line warm up and cadences.
PT Drum Corps will be providing instruments to play. Students will need to be reliable and willing to attend all scheduled meetups when possible. The workshop will meet every Saturday from 2PM-5PM on June 11 and 25 and July 2, 16, 23 and 30.
Students require drum sticks, a practice pad, a snare stand for the practice pad and a music stand. A binder with clear sheet protectors to hold sheet music. A beach towel and plenty of water and snacks. Parents should bring a lawn chair if they plan to stay during the workshop. Cost for summer workshop for each student is $60.
